Facial Rejuvenation
Facial Rejuvenation enhances and refines existing features, creating a natural, younger, and refreshed appearance. Dr. Leake will perform a thorough examination taking into consideration all facets of your face and skin and how they relate to each other.
Face lift, Mini Face lift, S-lift, Neck lift .......
Aging, genetics, and environmental changes cause the skin to loosen creating the classic jowling and sagging neck skin. One of the most common requests we hear is for the outward appearance to reflect the more youthful energy a person feels inside. Now, more and more men and women are appreciating that a face lift could be the answer for them. The “plastic” or pulled look that had been the signature of a face lift is no longer the result being obtained. A face lift repositions the skin (gets rid of sagging skin), creating a youthful face, neck and jaw line with a smoother contour. In fact, no one can tell that you have had a face lift most of the time yet you can look natural and up to ten years younger. There are several different types of facelifts: full face lift (multiplanar), mid face lift, S-lift/ mini lift, and neck lift. We will discuss which one is best for you at your consultation. Not everyone is a candidate for the mini or Slift (short incision lift). Provided that you take care of your skin, the average face lift can last ten to fifteen years. As time continues, remember additional procedures can be performed to enhance the original procedure. Dr Leake performs many face and neck lifts on men and the surgeries are customized to emphasize natural results and hidden incisions. Dr. Leake specializes in revising facelifts as well. Although some improvement in facial wrinkles can be obtained from a face lift, it will not address all the superficial lines that come from premature aging, overexposure to weather, and genetics. With the addition of skin resurfacing and products, your aged skin texture will improve.
Neck Liposuction ........ .........................................
A defined neckline is a characteristic of youthful appearance. Excess subcutaneous fat contributes to a less defined jaw line. Neck contouring by removing the excess fat can help outline a more defined profile. This can be performed by itself or in combination with a face lift depending on your degree of skin laxity. Many patients combine neck liposuction with the contouring of a chin implant, or with a facial rejuvenation procedure such as a face lift, to eliminate a “saggy neck” or “turkey wattle.” An added benefit of neck liposuction is the redistribution of fat through fat injections to other facial areas such as lips and smile lines.
Mid Face lift ........ ................................................
If you are tired of using fillers to lessen the nasolabial folds, a midface lift is a more permanent method of rejuvenating your cheek area. It is also performed to help support your lower eyelids. A midface lift is performed endoscopically so that the incisions are smaller and not seen on the face.
Eyelid Lift ........ ...................................................
The eyes are the window to the soul and the effects of aging become apparent in the eyes sooner than in other areas of the face. An eyelid lift (or blepharoplasty), is the preferred treatment for removing bags under the eyes or drooping upper eyelid skin, conditions that can add years to your appearance and even impair your vision. The incisions are made in the natural creases and are barely visible. The lower eyelid can become puffy or aged for a variety of reasons. Seek a consult for your individualized repair – fat removal or fat transfer for the lower eyelid. Lower eyelid surgery can also help contour the deep groove between your eye and cheek. Dr. Leake can perform a tranconjunctival blepharoplasty for the lower lids and no incisions will be made on the skin. Blepharoplasty alone is not always the answer to redundant skin around the eyes. Premature aging and drooping of the brow can cause a tired, angry look with frown lines and sagging skin. These can be corrected with the addition of a brow lift. Although there will be improvement in facial wrinkles with an eyelid lift, it will not address all the superficial lines that come from premature aging, overexposure to weather, and genetics. Skin resurfacing addresses textural wrinkles and imperfections. Nonsurgical options to improve your eyes include: BOTOX®, injectables, and skin care products.
Brow lift ........ .....................................................
Deep furrows on the forehead, frown lines over the eyes, drooping eyebrows, and hood-like skin over the eyes are all conditions that can make you look older than you are or feel, and can give you a tired, angry look. The brows and forehead can show aging sooner than the lower face. The forehead/brow can be chemically lifted through BOTOX®, but for more permanent fixation surgery is the option. Whether age or heredity cause these conditions, a forehead lift (or brow lift) can give you a more youthful, animated, and alert appearance. Dr. Leake uses an endoscopic technique that allows her to make a much smaller incision just above the hairline. Without giving the “surprised look,” a brow lift creates a less fatigued appearance and lessens the perception of scowling. This can be combined with a midface lift which reduces nasolabial folds and sunken cheeks.
FAT INJECTIONS ........ ............................................
Autologous Fat: Dr. Leake can remove fat from various areas to use for injection into the folds and grooves in the face such as the folds around the mouth, the cheek and chin or lips. This is a surgical procedure and is permanent. When it comes to facial rejuvenation lifting and tightening is not the only answer, but adding to patients’ facial volume can give them the results they desire.
Skin Resurfacing
Often patients with active lifestyles and chronic exposure to the sun are unhappy with superficial wrinkles, red vessels, and age spots. Resurfacing is changing or renewing the texture and outer appearance of your skin by using abrasion, chemicals, light therapy or lasers.
Laser treatments range from in-office procedures to requiring general anesthesia for full face resurfacing. Lasers work by emitting a powerful beam of light that causes a superficial burn of the skin. As new living cells replace layers of dead skin cells, the skin tightens and grows back smoother with fewer wrinkles. Lasers are effective for treating sun-damaged skin, mild acne scarring, age spots, skin discolorations, and many facial scars and wrinkles.
Fractional CO2 - As a person ages, their collagen production begins to decline which leads to the breakdown of the skin’s underlying support structure. Daily exposure to UV rays other environmental elements, and genetics can cause the skin to become discolored and premature wrinkles may emerge. Treatments with the Fractional CO2 laser provide wrinkle reduction, overall tissue tightening and textural improvement. The skin will have a smoother, tighter appearance and pigmentation will be diminished.

Photorejuvenation involves the use of pulsed light to stimulate the production of the body’s own collagen. It is ideal for women and men of all skin types who desire improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, facial spider veins, texture, blemishes, and brown spots.

Dermabrasion is another resurfacing tool that acts as a mechanical sander to help smooth out your skin. This can be done in the office or operating room depending on what areas would benefit from treatment.
Chemical peels to the skin (which often called chemosurgery) use a chemical solution to remove the top layers of the damaged skin. New cells form during healing, producing a tighter, more youthful-appearing skin. Chemical peels have proven successful in restoring wrinkled, sun-damaged, and blemished skin. The final result depends on the depth the chemical peel penetrates. Dr. Leake offers superficial, medium, and deep peels. They can be applied to the entire face or selected areas such as the mouth or cheeks.
